Mr M,
How about a little flexibility on the price??
I've exactly the same unit (I think - will check when I get home!!) but the display has ceased working & a repair probably isn't viable. In fact may only need the detachable front.
Mail me off-line if you wish.
Thanks,
Hugh

I think the price is fair as it stands, its a great unit and in its day it was the top spec of the Sony range, plus the joystick controls are £20 alone.

Hi Mr.Manchester
Looks a nice unit.
I am also looking at the CDX-C5000R posted up for £60 by YODI.
Whats the main diff (apart from joystick thingy) between these models. Sorry dont know the Sony range, just looking for a reasonably priced second hand unit to replace the stock cassette player.
How does the joystick attach?
Cheers
Matt

hiya mate, it attaches to your steering column so you can adjust the volume, mute, change to radio or CD, skip and FF tracks etc without taking your eyes off the road.
It also hes Sub pre outs on the back and it will take a CD or Minidisk changer and also you can change the colour of the display and the contrast etc.
Its a great bit of kit and also has a good demo mode
cheers Andy.
