Anyone got a clue. Similar cars do not seem to be shifting above £12,500 but MY98's still seem to be attracting interest at £10k with bigger miles on.

For what its worth - I was just offered 12250 against a new MY02 for my MY99 with a PPP BB and TSL GrpN+ 45Kmiles. I thought was pretty good given the trade value was 9.5k

Ok - yours is a year older but has more extras so I would have thought you should get a 10k minimum. Whats the paint like on the front - mine had had a respay on the bonnet / bumper and wings so there werent any (and I mean any) stone chips.

Thanks guys. Guess that is what I was about what I was thinking. £12k sounds good as a p/x!!
Rubbish though isn't it. I still don't get how 98my cars are still attracting around the £10k mark. Why is there no difference, i mean, the 99my has loads more than 98my and mag reviews from the time said made a big difference. Does this not matter on second hand cars?
I have also chucked the best part of £5,500 at this car, mainly on Prodrive stuff and you clearly get none of it back, bugger!!!
We live and learn. Looks like it will be staying with me for some years yet.

was offered 10500 against a beemer about 4 months ago.
i laughed at him.

these are miles better than the 98s..
bide ur time... it will be seen as THE classic.
MY99 / MY00 will be tops.. once the bugeye is 2nd hand for a while..

a proper drivers car - which is what someone will buy them for...

Cheers guys. That was about what I thought it should be worth, well, actually I thought a touch more, but I am bound to be biased.
Still open to offers for time being as there is a cheap P1 for sale on this site. Can't believe that hasn't been sold yet!!
