I'm also selling a Prodrive 300mm Brake Kit via eBay and, as the auction is coming to a close shortly.....

The kit was fitted when new in April this year and is in very good condition. The pads still have lots of wear in them.

I took a load of pictures of the kit once it was removed from the car and you can see these at:-
http://www.macksoft.co.uk

To place a bid for the kit, visit:-

Macksoft

What mileage have the discs + pads done?

Might be interested as I hope to purchase an RB5 on friday and would be interested in fitting these to it.

What ballpark figure are we looking at as I can get this kit new at a heavily discounted price.

Cheers

Phil

The brake kit was new when fitted in April/May 2002 and I've covered approximately 10,000 miles since then.

As the photos show, the pads still have a good bit of use left in them before they'll need replacing.

The wheels I'm selling alongside the pads can be found at:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=1790220266

Hope you decide they're for you!

Just seen your comments re: discounts! The £620 currently showing on eBay IS heavily discounted when compared the price at new (less than half price).

Granted they're no longer new but as you'll see from the photo's at www.macksoft.co.uk they're in very good second hand condition.

Macksoft

I would be prepared to go to £700 to secure but no higher, have been offered a brand new set for £1050 + VAT Fitting by my dealer.

Can't confirmn anything until friday though as that is when I am viewing the RB5.

What do you want to do about this now?

Phil

Phil,

Stick a bid on eBay and unless someone's prepared to pay over £700 they'll be yours.

Viper - ozzy's advice is sound. If you stick a proxy bid on eBay of £700 then your initial bid will appear as £640. If no-one outbids that, you get them for that price. If someone does come back and outbid you then the system will counterbid until it reaches your maximum - £700 - at which point it will stop.

I'm away from Friday lunchtime till Sunday evening and so probably won't be around to find out what happens. If you do bid and then win the auction, I'll be in touch Sunday evening.

Good luck with the RB5!

I don't want to put a bid on ebay then miss out on the rb5 as I would be left with a set of brakes that I would only end up selling on here.

Price on RB5 is up for negotiation but it is a WR Version with 30k miles, looking at it on friday evening , it up at about £15.5k, it isn't at a dealer though, private purchase.

Cheers

Phil

Question

Hi Macksoft,

Is this the same kit as fitted to the P1?

I am looking for replacements 330 x 28mm discs for mine though I obviously already have the calipers.

If anyone fancies the calipers with a different disc/bell setup we might be able to come to an arrangement?

Just a thought....

Steve.

Thanks Macksoft, as I say don't need calipers but would definately be interested in disc's if anyone out there wants a deal.
