tsting the water here, but would sell if there is interest!

205 1.6 GTi, black. G reg (new interior)

3 owners I believe, 1 previous to me was a mechanic.

90k miles now, 20 of which done by me in past 11 months since 22b died.

Used everyday. starts everytime, approx 10 months mot.

drives beautifully.

wind up windows, but power steering.

pepperpot alloys immaculate, could eat your dinner off the engine.

bonnet has many pin dents in it, as does roof, apparently from a hail storm, as a run around, to me it wasnt worth fixing these.

Same goes for torn fabric on passenger seat. Normal 205 hunting on idle, and rare tendancy to stall, will be fixable by a replacement maf which I might bother with, but it wasnt an mot failure.

Aside from these the car is great to drive. Will have no qualms keeping or donating to sister for leaving at station everyday if it doesnt go.

£600.

Hi mate, don't wanna buy your car but was gonna say, have you tried taking the brass srew out of the throttle body housing and cleaning it with brasso?, this got rid of the 'hunting' idle on both my 205 gti's I owned. Even done it quickly for a guy who was selling one once.
I had loads of people tell me to replace maf etc and this takes about 1 minute to do and is free
Good luck and btt
James

Wink

If your lucky when Adam sells this car he might have forgotted to take some of his 22b bit's out...like the original engine

(wispers to Adam) but a big box in the back with a few subaru parts boxes in and attempt to cover it badly...might help the sale

Adam - turn the idle screw up slightly as well to avoid the stalling at roundabouts Used to work a treat on mine.

minimum 6 months tax.

car is with my sister at the moment and she has not been able to tell remember to tell me the amount of tax.

I know for sure it has a minimum of 6 months tax, as I taxed it for a year less than 6 months ago!

I also know for sure it has a minimum of 10 months mot as I had it serviced and mot'ed less than two months ago.

fyi, it failed for a corroded rubber boot on the cv joint, but this has since been replaced and it obviously passed!
