Cool

Possibly for sale.
1 month old, 3 plug type ie fits a 22b (or any 1998/1999 car I believe but is of no use unless the car has the 3 plug type ecu).

Reason for sale is that it doesn't fit in with my revised plans for the car.

You will have Anti-lag, provision to run launch control and an active diff (if you have the adjustable centre diff like 22B or Type R coupe).

Cost £1760 new.

Looking for £1000 ovno. Mapping will cost in the region of £300 I believe.

Might be interested, will it fit a Type R STi 4?, and will you budge on the price, as I think that is a little high, as Gems quote 1250 + vat new for the job done.

Should fit your car. Price ovno. If you can get it cheaper, do so.

Maybe interested but dont know good mappers. Where are good mappers for GEMS? Can I use your maps? From which car the GEMS came? Which horsepower and torque?

Hi M8

A friend runs a Gems on his STI5.I belive it was mapped by Steve Simpson.07836635001 or simpson.msport@virgin.net.

No connection just know my M8 is made up with his.

Mine was supplies and fitted/mapped by Steve Simpson as mentioned above.

Did not have the car rolling roaded once fitted but prior to this ecu I had 311bhp (from Tuning Japanese) and the car is MUCH better with the Gems.

Smile

I have no ability to programme it myself (i.e no software with it) and personally wouldn't like to mess with it as a 22B engine is bound to be a lot of money! It is up to you if you want to take the risk or not.

@ Hrubago

There are a couple of people who can map GEMS ECUs in Hungary, so you wouldnt have to drive to the UK.

Iain, can't really give you any more details than are at the top of the page! All I can say is the car goes so much better with it than without!

Will try to get a look at the number but will have to have the passanger footwell apart (again!) for this so will be weather dependant. The only extra part that was fitted as far as I know was the temperature sensor which was drilled into my intercooler so will include it with the sale (the sensor....not my intercooler!)

Still for sale. Don't think it will fit your car but you could check with Gems. The code is:

SUB97 V2.19
