Selling Bose Acoustimass AM10 system in black. Immaculate condition. Consists of 5 x twin cube speakers and 1 x Bose subwoofer. Will throw in the optional wall mount brackets as well, which cost a bomb on there own. Paid over £700, selling for £475 + delivery.

Is this the version that only supports Dolby Surround, or the Dolby Digital 5.1 compatible version ?
Put another way - on the ribon cable from the amp to the sub, is there a seperate sub woofer connection or just the 5 speakers ?

The Bose is a quality system, £475 is a bargain.. got the big lifestyle system at home for surround sound from the DVD etc..... this should go in no timewhat so ever mate

Sorry if I'm a little confused, but this link says it works with 5.1, but I thought that the AM 10 system was not designed to handle the LFE (.1) channel and the the only function of the sub is to reproduce the bass content of the other five "satellite" loudspeakers.
Is the Series II a newer spec that includes 5.1 support ?
I guess that the amp could be set to merge the .1 channel with the other channels........
I'm not trying to be awkward - I just want to be clear what the spec is.

For AC3 Dolby Digital, the Bose instructions advise to set all speakers to large and the LFE to on. The .1 channel is therefor, merged in to the sub. This is how i drive it, with my Yamaha AX1.
