Rummaging in garage the other day and found brand spanking Prodrive quickshift even still in bubble wrap with part number sticker. Anyone want it for £80ono? This is the whole linkage not just a stick.
I've had a Jap Innovations quickshift as well which has shorter throw but not as good "feel". This should still be knocking around somewhere in the garage as well. This one's just the stick but I remember replacing the whole linkage (was in MY93 Legacy). In my opinion quality is not as good as Prodrive by a long way - offers?

Blimey! Haven't got it here with me so can't say. All I can say is that the Prodrive shift includes the stick and all the linkage from the cabin to the joining fork onto the gearbox selector shaft - so it's a direct bolt-on which includes all the bits necessary.

...also after I removed the Jap innovations shifter I noticed that there was a LOT of rubbing happenning between the shaft that joins the stick to the linkage - so much that it had chaffed away the rubber lining which seals the gearshift hole into the cabin. I think what Jap Innov had done was to simply change the pivot point (moved it higher) on the stick to make a shorter shift. OK, so the shift is damned short on the Jap Innov but it never really felt "right" to me, not to mention the chaffing. However, this is in a Legacy so I'm not having a go since it wasn't specifically designed for my car.
The Prodrive shift is simply much much better.

Although Prodrive charge ridiculous amount for their quickshift, doesn't mean I want to recoup my original spend. It is brand new. Hence that's why I've put it up for 80 squiddlies or nearest offer - so make me an offer.

I don't have it with me - otherwise I could tell you what bushes are on the thing. Believe me - it's a classic Impreza quickshift. I bought two of them from Subaru. It's not the Legacy shift (didn't even know they did one!) because to get it onto the Legacy you have to bodge the mating forks - the Legacy has an eyelet/bush join where the Impreza has a fork. That's why I only ever fitted one of them to my current car and didn't bother with the one I'm selling (which I was going to fit into my second car).

Just a quick check on progress of this before I have to head off to Heathrow (no I'm not going away).
These are the people who have got in touch with me with offers up 'till now. I shall go through them when I get back - I believe it's fair that I make order of refusal in chronological order according to who made contact WITH an offer:
markd
Tone Loc
kart_man
N1 Span
RegDorp
I'm pretty sure I've matched Scoobynet aliases against direct emails for anyone who hasn't mentioned it in their contact. Response has been very rapid - wasn't expecting such a mad rush! I've provided as much info as I could given the time I have in between people driving me mad at work. Please bear with. Back later tonight.

Sorry - didn't get back from Heathrow until much later than expected. Attempted to reply to everyone who mailed me but got bit confused on the running order... so according to my earlier list of who goes first - markd is currently checking out if the part is right for him (cos I can't find my Subaru parts software - D'oh!).

DarWil - I had a look for the JI shifter last night and I can't even find it! It's in there somewhere. When I find it I'll let you know. Keep reminding me tho - cos my brain isn't very good these days!

Sorry Ed - there were so many emails I starting having a problem figuring who was who and who was first but since I had posted the running order earlier - I figured that it was fair and obvious to let that run it's course first.
