got to go- my old Mk2 5 door GTi- 96,000 genuine miles- FSH+MOTS+old tax disks-always serviced in accordance with VAG guidelines
Here's the good points-runs great, very reliable- recent cambelt and service, 4 good tyres, MOT- this runs out April but I'm confident it will pass so should it matter I'll get 12 months put on it, completely original with no mods-interior is like new
Bad points-some rust scabbing on the hatchback-about size of 2 old 50p pieces unsightly but not a major problem-some stone chips on bonnet- very small dent on front wing- done while parked on street in Paris- oh yes and its white!!
This car has been used daily for 3 years as a commuter and in the last year on Euro holidays. Never let us down and is in good mechanical order. We only want £550 ono for it and would prefer it to go to someone who will get value from it rather than sticking it through the auctions. The cars back in the UK as of the new year. I reckon this car would be ideal for someone who wants a fast, reliable car that you can leave parked anywhere without fear of theft! It also does around 42MPG@85MPH according to the trip computer a little more than a scooby!

Back to the top I'm afraid- look at the lovely mountains in the rear of the pic! I can reccomend a holiday in Summer there- its the Haut-Alpes about 130km N of Saint Tropez- if your in the south of France in August and get sick of all the crowds of rich, idiotic Parisians in san trop then go north and see some of this beautiful area- its free of tourists in summer.

I know that the car is just an old MK2 GTI (a white one at that) but I've had so many good times in her that I can't bear to see her down on the 3rd page of the for sale forum. So its BTT-
PS My girlfriend who was the main user of the vehicle in the UK calls it "snowdrop"- I would prefer something a little more macho like "Dave" or similar

RHD- and yes still for sale- its with my girlfriends Dad (car is hers) in Poole- we are over here in Paris looking at the local drivers crashing into the scoob as they park!
