Yes, before negotiating.
Unfortunately the bug-eyes haven't sold very well and with the new model out soon, Subaru are trying to get rid of them.
Not what you wanted to hear WRXGirl or anyone with a bug-eye I suspect.
Worse is that Trade-Sales have an identical car (except tracker) with just delivery miles for £16,499.

Definately not what you want to hear but I've just been offered a brand new 4dr WRX 2002 model in silver (no alarm or tracker) for £14,950.00 OTR.
Its true, the 2002 WRX has not sold well and now with the 2003 prices for both EU imports and UK cars released, the residuals for 01/02 WRX models don't look good.
If I were you, I'd keep it until the depreciation plateau's off other wise if you sell it now, your likley to take a hit of at least £6k......

If you were offered one for £15K with no alarm then that must surely be an import?? In which case it bears no relevence to this thread.
Unfortunatly with the new one out soon it has hit the price of the new ones but luckily i got one at the cheaper price!!
One other thing to note I am 99.9% certain that the trackstar membership is not transferable to another owner - it may be to you if you had the tracker removed and fitted to another car. The cost of lifetime is approx 3 years subs - they expect you to want to sell after that!!

If its WR Blue you want then I think you will have trouble finding any dealers with new stock which therefore makes the one WRXGirl is selling a better proposition.
It's ok to quote all the offers but if the car you want is not available then it's pointless.

Thank you Stu! - I know what you mean - I know a lot of people are advertising super deals and stuff but at the end of the day when you're spending that much on a car, it's got to be right, and it seems that a lot of dealers are getting rid of stock that nobody's bought, maybe due to colours and specs...?

I have recently taken delivery of my 52 reg in WR Blue. (Also with Trackstar - thats how I was so sure about the transfer!!) I was given a load of patter by the dealer about it being one of the last available in that colour in the UK so I got my brother to have a ring around (he is a dealer and used to work at the Sccoby dealers) and he couldn't find one. With that in mind the dealer wasn't really prepared to do a deal for me either - he new I couldn't get one anywhere else.
I got it for the lower price (£18995 + £250 for paint I think) but buy the time I had the Prodrive wheels and rear spoiler, clear sides and Morette lights it came out at £21k anyway!!
Best of luck selling it but I think as you realise you will have to keep it until the novelty of the new model wears off. You are going to lose money though.

P1mp - agreed! When I bought it everyone said I was being totally unoriginal going for WR blue but hey, it's the only colour! - and black for an STi!
Stu - thank you!![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Going to go for a good drive tomorrow, which will probably dismiss all desire to sell the Scooby anyway!

Makes you wonder why they bothered making any other colours ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Given 1/2 a chance I'd have a P1 in, er, P1 Blue but as you know now's not the best time to be thinking of spending that sort of cash.
Thanks for the offer BTW (job help that is)

I saw the new models at the Autosport show yesterday and to be honest I don't think it's radical enough change to cause any upset in the prices.
Bit like escorts getting a facelift every now and then - nothing special :-)

I agree - the Classic body shape is fantastic but the newer ones have a much improved interior.
When I bought mine I wanted a Classic but was tempted by the newer interior and the 3 years warranty etc (with the 3K off it was a fantastic offer)

P1MP - no probs, you're welcome! - should defo be able to help if it's electronics - though hopefully you'll be ok where you are!
Stu - I agree, new interior is nicer, although had a load of hassle getting any speakers to fit in the doors! Sounds like you had a bargain on your car - how are you getting on with it?

I am happy with mine on the whole. It is very short of torque low down, and I feel you really need to push it - It doesn't 'feel fast'.
I have a slight hesitation in 3,4 & 5 at about 4k rpm which i need to speek to the dealer about.
I think I need the PPP but £1600 is a lot to spend when i've just spent 21k.

Stu - don't forget it's still being run in! They say it's running in up to about 5,000 miles; but I recently spoke to a chap who bought a new UK 300 and he said that it didn't really feel like it was totally run-in until 15,000 - he said that up until then it just got faster and faster. I agree though, you do need to push them - but then the lack of speed lower down can actually be quite beneficial when you're stuck in traffic etc - I had a Peugeot 306 GTi6 b4 the Scooby and it was a bloody nightmare - just wanted to GO all the time! The glitch doesn't sound good though ... speak to the dealer about that one! The only wierd thing mine had was a strange noise at 120 which apparently is wind ... the dealer checked it out thoroughly and found no fault whatsoever, but I've heard a couple of other people had the same thing, one chap had it the first 3 times he hit 120 and then it stopped! Wierd.

Sorry 'bout that! - it's a May 02 registered WR Blue WRX, I've only done 3,500 miles since then and decided that it's a bit of an expensive accessory! - seems a shame to have a car like that just sitting outside not being driven! Only extra is a Tracker, although I've also put some serious ICE in which I could negotiate on ...
Anyway, it is a stunning car, but at the moment up against lots of dealers getting rid of old stock; I realistically need to be looking at 18k as a minimum as I paid just over £22k for it, but realise that could be ambitious at the mo in which case I'll hang on for a few months b4 selling. Obviously it's got FSSH (supplied by Exeter Subaru main dealers), it's a full UK spec car. If anyone's interested, please let me know - basically you'd be saving £2k on the price of the new one for the sake of 3,500 miles (and bug eyes!).
