Turbo off an MY99 UK.
Its slightly damaged in that the wastgate mechanism doesn't close fully, allowing the wastegate to move/rotate under pressure.

Len at Subaru 4 You replaced this with a new bugeye turbo for me and thus this old one with slight damage is for sale.
Len has told me the turbo itself is fine, no damaged impellers etc, and indicated the actuator still seems ok, just that the wastegate is not shutting properly and thus needs a bit of attention to get it sorted.

Offers to my email addy in profile.

Cheers
Neil.

Steve, am after a bit more than that, after all, its not that badly damaged, can easily be recon'd for still vastly cheaper than the 1200 quid from subaru

Cool

Suggestion: why dont you send it to Turbo Dynamics and have it serviced, then you will have a turbo that works and has been properly checked for balance, rather than just having been given a cursory glance by a mechanic? The service shouldnt cost too much, and you could then more reasonably ask for more money for the unit.

I had thought of that Moray, any idea on the cost for a service?

Or you can just tell me to phone Turbo Dynamics
