I dunno what happened to my original post, but here's the info again:

1999 V reg 5dr Jazz Blue Pearl - 49,000 miles Full VW service history inc the 50,000 mile - One Owner (me!) imported personally from Spain in October 1999, with the kind help of Numptie - BBS alloys, Aircon, ABS, PAS etc, Cruise control, Recaros with blue inserts - Blaupunkt single CD player with colour-coded backlighting - MOT mid Oct, Tax to end Sept - New front tyres, discs, pad, new rear pads (tyres & discs are good).

I've got a huge folder with all the records & receipts of everything ever done, inc fuel consumption - everything! This is a genuine one-owner private sale as I'm getting a company car next week. I think it's worth around £8,500 but I am open to offers. Car is in Surbiton, Surrey and you can contact me on 07802 432171 or email duncan@teambrowns.co.uk

This is an example pic - I'll put some proper ones up as soon as I can get access to my PC at home.

I bought this car new from Spain in October 1999
I went with him for the trip

It was carefully run-in on the way home and had an additional oil/filter change as soon as we got back (another Forum member can verify this).
Yup, sure can

I know that this isn't perhaps the done thing- but why has the price gone up? It still seems a good price BTW. Anyway this will put you BTT

thanks for pointing that out - the price actually went down but I edited the earliest post, which was a mistake. I think it's all sorted now.
cheers

sorry Apples,

Already got a new car coming, and an old one in the garage - the only thing I might consider a px would be a 600cc motorbike for £2k or something.

IIRC price all-in, inc VAT, flights to Spain, petrol, hotels, tunnel (but not beer) was £15,400. List at the time (Oct 1999) inc. extras was £19,100. Xrate at the time was £1 = 255 pestas, from what I hear the price via Spain has gone up a fair bit since the Euro, and the UK price has come down so may not be such a good deal these days.
