It depends what you are doing with it. From the lights and at slow speeds you can't be as agressive with the throttle as you can with the UK subarus, it just lights up the tires. Over about 30mph, yes, it will beat them both in a straight line and through the corners.
I'll scan in the dyno reading taken from LAD and powerzone (was retested after I had the superchip on at PZ)

thats odd...my brother has a 106 gti with the LAD 160 conv. he sees just over the stated 160. was the power quote at the wheels or at the fly? Sounds like he has a power output at the wheels. Should equate to about 165 at the flywheel.
Due to the amount of headwork that goes into the conversions, a an exhaust and a filter are a must to see the power.
I also had to fit a superchip to overcome a flatspot and the adjustable vernier pullies (standard on the 306 hehe) were reset.

ive heard most LAD conversions are seriously overrated, i used to have a pug and so know a load of people who forked out for conversions and got nowhere near the power they were meant to.

If it can only 'keep up' then it doesn't have 210bhp!! A GTI-6 with that sort of power would see off a UK WRX IMO. Nice car and nice price
I few more tweaks have been done to push up the bhp, but were not to 2bhp

Very nice car with nice mods, may have a mate who'll be interested.......i'll let him know.
Dunno why people keep posting up their comments, picking holes in it, why do they bother saying anything if they're not interested......pr1cks!![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

I don't wanna buy this as I already have a mint 306 Rallye.
But...
I aint far from Bolton, so any chance of taking me for a spin in this sometime soon (before you sell it), as I am seriously wanting to tune my Rallye for +200bhp and wanna see if it's actually worth the money!![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Been talking to another guy today that's running over 200bhp in a GTi-6 with head, cams, ECU, filter, custom manifold, zorst & de-cat, but he lives a long way away, so not much chance of a passenger ride.
Go on... you know it makes sense!![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

lol.....cheaky bugger ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I don't see why not. I think you'll be pleasantly supprised too if I told you that the LAD increase from 167bhp to 200bhp actually increase miles per gallon under sensible driving conditions i.e. normal driving...heh.
my car saw around an extra 5 miles to the gallon after the conversion.
On top of this conversion I also looked into putting either 45 webbers on or a supercharger. Along with a change of cams I was looking at pushing nearly 300bhp. Would have been virtually unbeatable as the advanced gearbox technology virtually eliminates wheelspin, even with its current power in first gear if you get it right....big money though stopped me from doing it.
I'll scan you in some really usefull information tomorrow on the LAD conversion for you to read up on. It was a test conducted by Car & Car Conversions.....Watch this space.

Nice one. I know it's cheeky, but if you don't ask... ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Let me know when & where.
Odd that the increased power gives an increase in MPG too! Mine is cr@p on fuel and driving normally to & from work, I am getting on average about 25-28mpg, but if I drive it hard it drops to low 20's!!!
What exactly does the LAD conversion involve?!
I'll keep my eye out for the CCC mag scans then...
