Blitz Nur Spec R
#1
Eventually up for sale if I receive good offers :
Blitz Nur Spec R (backbox and midsection) approx 1 year old with removable silencer.
Fits all classic Impreza's not sure about bugeyes.
Reason for sale : I want something that looks good but is much quieter.
Also consider swapping against another Japanese made backbox only (HKS, Fujitsubo, Kakimoto etc...) plus some cash.
No Supersprint, Sebring, SS or other euro stuff.

scooby_si,
If you can tell me the little tweaks to make it less noisier, without having the cut the whole system in half, I would eventually keep it....
It is just that for MoT reasons I had my original zorst refitted and it was much more pleasant to drive hence the slight power loss in higher revs.
Thanks,
Ramon

Super dragger is nowhere near as noisy.
The reason the blitz is noisy is because its made of stainless steel, its actually acting like a big trumpet.
All of the hks exhausts are aluminsised steel and don't generate as much noise.
The dragger is the quieter of the two hks exhausts with a rather pleasant low down grumble, if its any consolation the blitz was to noisy for me and the dragger was to quiet so i personally prefer the hiper.
But from what you're saying the dragger would suit your needs perfectly.

I found that the sillencer for the blitz rattled slightly which sounded cheap at best. 2 overcome this i got sum heat proof glass tape & wrapped it around the outside of the bung. Slightly tighter fit but not metal on metal rattle.
In a need 2 please neighbour since i rent garage off of 1 of them i have tried various techniques 2 muffle further! The 1 im currently doing which isnt perfect is to put sum steel wool over the most internal part of the silncer. This is supposedly wot the silencer bits in the exhuast r made of & it does work sumwot wlthough the pressure from the air flow soon makes a nice hole in the wool. I also tried putting the steel wool on the inside of the silencer which does work even better but where i was just pushing it in rather than screwing it in untill im clear of the houses & then removing i found the increased pressure from a smaller hole effectively ment it sumtimes wood pop out & go in2 full volume mode It also has a tendancy 2 blow the wool 2 1 end where it either clogs up or totally blows out So not quite perfect the technique yet but i may also try putting the glass tape on the inside of the silencer as this may also reduce the reverberation & collect a bit more sooty stuff

black knight YHM.
If the Super Drager is THAT quiet compared to the Blitz I might as well consider a straight swap.
Can some other Super Drager owners confirm that it is not that loud, especially when cruising at 110 to 140 km/h on the motorway without needing to turn the ICE volume **** to the max level to overcome the exhaust sound?
Just want to be sure.....
Thanks,
Ramon
