Update on my parts for sale post - hopefully all will be available in SIX TO EIGHT weeks. If you are interested then please EMAIL me at RANNOCH1@HOTMAIL.COM.
The following parts will be available in the next six-eight weeks. They are being offered for sale now so that ideally they can be taken away when they are taken off the car - and of course to enable financial planning by any potential buyers.

HKS Hiper exhaust - good condition £225 (inlcudes detachable noise bung) - offers recieved
HKS Induction kit - good condition £75 - offers received
Scoobysport 3in custom downpipe - £150 - offers recieved
MD309 turbo (similar to MD195) with 1.4bar actuator, excellent condition, never used on track, only done 4,000 miles - proven to 389bhp - £900 (turbo is fitted with a P20 exhaust housing, but a P18 can be made available) - offer recieved, any more takers
STi V engine, complete with STi Manifold (with loom and throttle body) and lightened flywheel (8kg), run with Motul 15/50 oil which is changed every 3-4000 miles - 55,000 miles - good condition - oil usage is as normal £1500 ovno
STi V gearbox - fully rebuilt at 25,000 miles ago - excellent condition - £500 ovno
STi V JECS ECU - £100
Link ECU - Q chip V5 - ten row PC LINK with controller - £450 - offers recieved
Will accept £3,550 for the whole lot - convert your car to a 350bhp Sti

Hi Trout,
I am very interested in the engine, but I am just wondering how I can cut and paste it into my Phase1 97MY UK. I know there are many differences but is it possible to use just the block/heads/cams etc but keep my inlet manifold....hhmmmm?

Location: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

You could shove the engine in and use your inlet manifold with a little bit of work it could be done..

Hi Dave,
this is what I thought! I have already discussed this in spades with Mr Rawle and I would rather not have to replace the whole loom.
Why won't the phase1 inlet manifold fit onto the phase2?
Do all the other plugs 'n' parts fit to the phase1 loom??
A bit worried at the mo, as I have a strange smell from the engine bay when warm. Smells like a boats bilge/hull smell, diesel mixed with salt water. Can't help feeling this is the onslaught of head gasket/air lock etc. etc.? Any idea's???

Dunno what smell is.. oil and water??
Phase 1 and phase 2 heads are different.. the bolt holes are in different places... it could be made to fit depends how competant you are.
