PPP for an 01
#1
I'm thinking about taking the plunge and going for a ecutek so i have possibly got a Prodrive ECU for sale.
The deal would have to involve a part exchange on a standard ecu too.
I'm feeling the water at the mo so would anyone be interesred

Yes but it would have to be at a favourable price, because to be honest it would not be proper PPP. I would have no certificate etc and therefore I would be as well to get Ecutek myself.

£300 is a fair price and tempting but thinking about it, it's not really the way forward for me.
1. As I said No PPP Cert.
2. £300 is half of Ecutek.
3. Changing ECU's would invalidate my warranty so I would be as well to do as you are and get ecutek.
Good luck selling it, it looks like you are gonna loose a lot of money.
You would probably be better to source an ECU and have that Ecutek'd, that is what I will do i think. That way you could sell the car as PPP and sell the ECU seperatly.
Where have you found ECU's for £150

If you swap your ecu you will have to swap restritors as well
as the ppp ecu wont work properly without it and a standard ecu will hit fuel cut with a ppp restrictor. But add a de cat centre
and a free flow back box to the ppp ecu(both available second hand on here at the moment)and you will get ppp performance,so its a good deal for someone at £300.
