BMW M5 for sale (E28 series, 1987 - the original Q car)
#1
This car has done the Exmoor run - need I say more?
Much loved, owned more than 8 years, but it has to go for political reasons
Genuine 110,000 miles, supplied to me in 1994 by Munich Legends who also did the top end (camchain) rebuild at 96,000 miles. I have the complete history documented.
For those unfamiliar, this is one of only 187 RHD examples, hand-built by BMW's competitions department using engines left over from the M1 sports-racer project - it also uses the M1's steering wheel. In this installation the engine was tuned to develop a very well-mannered 286bhp (the standard M1 has 277bhp).
My car is Lachs silver with black full leather interior, and has Cobra alarm/immobiliser, LSD, close-ratio 5-speed box, BBS alloys, air-con, electric sunroof, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric 10-way-adjustable recaros, electric aerial, onboard computer, JVC radio/cassette.
I'm looking for £6,000 folks. It *may* be a political necessity but I've managed to avoid selling it these last five years despite increasing pressure from 'er indoors, and I don't intend to give it away.

Sorry to say I ain't done Snetterton, in fact I've only ever tracked this car one time, that was Castle Combe on a BMW Drivers Club day in 1994.
Depending on how many years ago, there's a chance the sighting at Marlborough *may* have been me, I was living in the area for some months in the late 1990's.

You're welcome to your opinion, Cosmic. Perhaps you think value has something to do with age. Try looking at Munich Legends adverts - they're selling a similar car right now. It will take 5 figures to buy it.
Also we have a 2002Tii but that's 31 years old this year. Perhaps you think that wouldn't fetch the £5000-£6000 that BMW Driver mag says a top-condition example is worth now? (not that Gill would ever let it go of course).
Classic cars are priced by desirability, condition and rarity. Not age. Best engage brain before opening mouth!

Softwiz,
You may want to try these sites for your ad. More your target market I guess. I drive an e34 3.8 M5, but the gospel says the e28 is a better ride. Good Luck.
