The only reason for me posting is i am looking for this sort of scooby at the moment.
Just been down to my friendly scooby dealer to get some info on prices etc ( known them for several years ). It seems prices for classic scoobys are dropping quicker than a lady of the nights underclothes. In the last 3 months black cap is showing drops of £575, £700, £575 with the future not looking much brighter.
Basically im saying if i am to buy at this time i will need to be looking at future depreciation in mind when i do part with my cash and can only ask sellers to bear this in mind when posting the price for their car, as i have read many postings where sellers even though they think their car is fairly priced are getting few if any replies.
As an example quoted by dealer, RB5 44k booked at trade under £11000. I dont agree with it but will need to be very careful where i place my money.

Local dealer just sold 59K T reg for £10,995
I am £1,000 and 6K miles behind this.
I ran in my Scooby on super unleaded and did not exceed 3K revs for the first 2000 miles and it has never missed a beat and is always serviced on time.
Its a good car for the next owner.
Who is it to be?

Price is about right - put it on autotrader and it will sell - internet only is anly about £15 quid for 6 weeks I think. Sold my MY00 3 weeks ago and still getting calls now. Good Luck

I have to say that after a chat with my local dealer that a RB5 with mid mileage in very good condition should go for no more than £12500 or about £13000-£13500 for the WR.
Prices are dropping but so are for every other car such is life. You take your chances!!

Should have no probs selling this car, just need to advertise in the right places. Try the 6 week autotrader advert for £15, ideal for this type of car as it covers the whole country and people will usually travel for the right car. Take no notice of book prices. The true indication is what they're selling for and its worth between £9.5 -£10k all day long.
