As the subject says, ally bonnet for sale.

It's for the facelifted classic cars (97 - 00 I think). It's just the bare bonnet, no vents, main scoop or other bits. it has been primed and is ready to paint.

I don't have any pictures at the moment (batteries in camera dead, typical! lol) but may get some tonight/tomorrow.

I would prefer if the buyer collected it from me.

£450 ovno

ps - I will NOT tolerate any comments about it not being worth that, and your granny can get them down the market for 5 pence. Comments like that will be reported, and i will be narked off

Nick, no offence, but this is exactly the type of comment I do NOT want on the thread. I personally think that for an ally bonnet this is quite a good price, as I have been quoted, from various places, £500 - £650, hence my price.

Again, no offence, but if you're not interested in purchasing, then don't post.

Sorry if I sound mean and nasty, but I am trying to sell something, and not have a debate on whether it's a good price or not.

Early wrx's had ally the later uk's have heavy steel.

And I was just baiting you m8, see if you'd drop it for me as I have a heavy uk job, just not sure if I'll go carbon or ally though, but I'm sorry anyway.

nick - ahhh, right, gotcha! lol Baiting a shark? not a good idea

How much does it weigh, umm, well, not sure actually, but it's pretty light, I can lift the box it is in easilly.

I do recall someone, a way back, saying there might not be too much of a weight difference between the ali and carbon bonnets.

Bonesey - the seller won't censor you but we will And drop the insults this is meant to be a for sale section.

It is possible that we will introduce some changes to this forum. We want this to be a simple 'for sale' forum with registered users putting up items they have PERSONALLY for sale. Not for their mates or business.

The Ebay point is a good one though. It might be possible to introduce a separate forum for people who have found things like this for sale on other sites - although it would have to be heavily moderated as the potential for abuse would be high (perhaps too high thinking about it). I will suggest this anyway and see what the general feeling is.

As with all these ads - the old rule still applies: caveat emptor 'let the buyer beware'

Chris

P.S.
See Adroy's sale of 'ps2 games' which I think illustrates my garbled point pretty well!

The main reason is that I've not got enough time to do it! I'm off to Canada in a few weeks and am selling the car. Simple as that really.
