M700 is not a specific model but a range. The M700 exists with 650/700/750/850 MHz and 1GHz P3 processors. Also from the Compaq web-site

Wrong I've a got P3 450 as well as P3 650 M700 in the office

Back on topic, the M700 is a very nice piece of kit - one of Compaq's best efforts for a long time IMHO.

Not strictly wrong as I never said they only existed with those speeds. A more complete list would be P2 366/400 P3 450/500/650/700/750/850/900 & 1GHz There may be others

Absolutely agree though that they are great laptops. My 700MHz is probably the best I've used since the 1592DMT and I've used a few.

Do you think dieseldave will give us commission for praising it and keeping it at the top

£600 and you can keep the external CD-writer? Sorry, can't offer any more. Have you tried putting it up for auction on Dabsexchange? Laptops tend to fetch good prices on there when I last looked.
