Well before I spoke to Si, I did do a search on the model, and the cheapest price I could find was around 13-1400 quid, excluding stand & delivery
This is a bargain IMHO, wish I could buy it myself
The one that someone said was only 1000 in comet, is a singificantly lower spec model

Can get it new for £1,300 - http://www.electricaldiscountuk.co.uk/televisions.php?make=Toshiba&type=30&ord=real_pric e&showresults=go&go.x=14&go.y=18
You probably get half that second hand. - ie about £650
