What's the car worth as a non runner?

I'm just so fcuked off with it, it's time for a change. The engine is fcuked due to a big end bolt being launched through the side of the engine this morning commng home from work. No I wasn't ragging the **** of the car just doing the speed limit on the m23 and bang, white smoke everywhere. I'm really looking at selling the car as one and not splitting, the spec is as follows with a few pictures.

If your not interested, don't post

This was the spec of the engine prior to it exploding

A closed deck block
new crank
polished and ported heads
diesel liners
grp A cosworth pistons and rods
480cc injectors may need bigger!
ported headers, exhaust wrapped
h&s up pipe
samco hoses
uk gearbox /uprated clutch
uprated oil pump (roger clarke)
hks fmic
full bpm exhaust

A full set of cusco braces, top and bottom, front and rears
Tanabe susspec RR coilovers
Godspeed 330mm brake kit with 4 pots/braided hoses
full set of defi gauges
Cusco catch tank
quickshift
STI rear lights
smoke front indicators/clear side
forge header tank
kenwood cd/mini disc system with high end speaker all round 1 x JL sub in closed box powered by 2 competition infinity amps.
HKS turbo timer

95 wrx, 33000 miles (still restricted) on the clock owned by me since imported last July, A4 folder full of receipts for most parts and most of the work carried out, interior is mint and the body work is in top condition aswell . The car was getting linked by BRD on the 14th of June but due to the engine damage it doesn't look likely now, there is a £600 deposit with BRD for the fitting of the link ecu which will come with the car all you need to find is another £690.

Don't waste my time with stupid offers and no I am not splitting it......

Bryan

bryan would it not be worth getting a used running unit from a breakers,as you know people are going to offer you silly amounts for it as it is and a running wrx engine normally goes for 950-1000 which is less than you will loose if you sell as is.
if you need a few names and numbers give drop me a mail.

Unlucky m8. Good luck with getting rid, but just chill a little and don't get rid too cheap. Free BTTT

Thanks for all the e-mails, I'm looking at the following for the car

Car put back to standard with a non running engine £5000 ovno
If somebody wants all the aftermarket goodies £4000 no offers.
The car is in excellent condition, I have made a couple of calls and a engine can be sourced from as little as £900 depending on condition and spec.

The car as is owes me £3000 so I'm in no rush to sell.

Scott, thanks for the reminder..

Cool

Be patient mate,no one wants to see you sell the car,it was obvious to me that it is down to the a poor engine build and that person should take responisability for it,you have done too much work to let it go for silly money, your mods list is truly awsome and the condition of your car is mint.
We have all had low points with our cars but they do pass eventually belive me i know,we are all hear to help if needed so keep your chin up.

Try and sit back and dont rush into anything, your car is totaly sorted.Whoever built the engine should put it right free of charge.I rushed into selling my Cosworth and boy did i regret it.
I totaly understand how you feel, but trust me you will regret getting rid of it.

Dont rush into anything Bryan.

You have a good package of mods and most of it its salvageable. Buy a cheap runner and take a month of evenings while the days are longer to sort it out.

Hi mate how's it going? no joy from the engine builder?
should be knee capped if not as is totally down to their poor build/not tightening the conrod bolts.
If your bored give me a bell I'm at home and bored! 887866
