Any modifications?
Its just that you have put 280bhp and no doubt most people will wonder about whats been done as these cars only had 240ps from the factory

It's a Japanese Import. The RA (Race Altered) boasts 280bhp.
It's as light-weight as they come and does 0 - 60 in around 5 secs. Got to sell as I need a van!!!!!!!!!!! But I'll have another as soon as money allows.

Sorry Priten, missed your last post. The Type RA is a limited edition. It was made mainly for performance. As previously said it boasts 280bhp as standard and is lighter than other Scoobs. It has a short shift box to get it there faster and holds the road like s**t to a blanket. There is a link on the Subaru Owners Club telling you about the different versions.

Sorry to say but unless your car was made for MY97 its not 280ps
GC8B47D 240 WRX RA 4 door (the 240 is the PS rating of this car, not even the STi's had 280ps until 97! the gc8 is the chassis number to go by).
Check out www.sidc.co.uk
Nice looking car but please dont mislead people about the power output

Deco, i see your car has a sony single DIN head unit, how do you get it to fit a double DIN slot and what is the slot below where the other half of the double DIN would go?

Coulty - I had the unit fitted by an Audio specialist and I think he bought an adapter unit (it may have been from Halfords) as he used to work for them. So the space underneath is used just as a place to put my sun glasses - if the sun ever come's out!!!!!!
Was up your neck of the woods last week at Loch Lomand for my girlfreind's birthday, top break and the scenery was breath taking.

As Tony say's, please go onto the specifications section under FAQ heading at www.sidc.co.uk and look for the model number on the top of your front nearside strut starting GC****** that will determing the cars definate factory power output.
240, 260 or 280bhp these lightweight lower ratio geared scoobs are unbeatable 0 - 100 mph
