Can't remember what map you ended up with !!!!
I think I retarded the timing by a few degree's as the origional PROVA map was far to advanced for a UK

If it is a retarde dmap, it should be OK in a UK (a Knocklink, would be advisable).

What's written on the labels ?

P.S Scott, I still have your other adaptor board and Subaru DVD.

Nick, where do you base the fact that a jap ECU will not work in a UK car. I can say that this is not dodgy.... the ecu has the Scoobyecu board in there so could take a slightly less advanced map (than the Prova) that would be a perfect upgrade for a UK car.

Not bad for £100 as the scoobyecu is normally £65 .

Tony.

Z4 ECU is very very very...let me say that one more time 'Very' similar map to the Pre96 UK Prodrive map.
With only minor increases to the boost on the Prodrive Map being the difference (12.7psi WRX - 13.6psi UK Prodrive). The Fuel and igntion maps are the same.

Therefore this ECU will work in a UK car, even with the ECU Adaptor board removed.

I personally remapped this ECU, but cannot for the life of me rememeber every parameter.

I know the Boost is set to 16.5psi, and I think there is a 5 Degree retard on the Ignition timing (PROVA Map was far to advanced, IMHO even for a WRX).

Is there a fuel cut on the PROVA map?

The origional No...well yes set to 19.5psi which the map sensor will never read as it is out of range.

This map..which started out with a Prova base map has the fuel cut set to about 18psi, if I remember correctley. Along with the other timing mods and different boost control.

So it's not really a PROVA map at all really.

It's the same as I used to do for Z4 ECU's in ScoobyShop (Pre96 ECU Map/Adaptor).
This was just a project I was running on my MY94, that enabled me to produce a sell to other like minded people. I now have an MY00 so there is no point in me continuing. David is still doing the ScoobyECU (his brandname) tho'

Some of you here know that already and are already running one.

P.S Z4 ECU is probably worth £100 in standard trim, as it is the best stock ECU you can get for an early WRX or UK as the timing and fuelling maps are much, much better.
