I have a tracker for sale, was professionally fitted and removed, orignally purchased in November, removed in February. I have original receipts and warranty.

It cost me £600 fitted, will sell for £400.

No its a RAC Trackstar and yes there own approved company came and removed it.! Why wouldnt you be allow to change it to different vehicles, as long as you let them know, you own and pay for the device, surely you can put it on what you want.

The man said when its moved to another vehicle, transfer the docs and advise new keeper to ring them and they will activate it and amend their records.

You say you have a Tracker(originally), well Tracker is a brand name and is totally different to a Trackstar - The Tracker cannot be removed and put in a different vehicle, though it seems Trackstar(which you obviously have) have a different AND more sensible way of doing things.

I've had 3 Trackers in 3 cars and its a pain in the backside not being able to take them with you(and pricey)

ah ha, my apologies for that misleading part. to confirm, it is a RAC Trackstar, and i agree, installing and removing them is expensive.
