Sounds like a nice motor. Picture fix for you.

Is this the 4WD version? Forgive my ignorance but if it is how do you get away with different size tires front and rear?

That adds up over a journey. Just doesn't seem right to me.

But I'd still love this car. Top for a lovely piece of motoring history. Good luck with the sale.

Yes, definately 4wd.

On the cossies, some people tend to have bigger rear tyres?????

The car handles very well, so not a problem.

If you can download any piccies, that would be appreciated.

The Motorsport edition means the car was built for motorsport use, as opposed to road use, so has a lighter shell, a lot of the panels are removable, I.E Quick Fuel Cover Release, no sun roof, no a/c and comes in white, unless re sprayed at some stage.

The car has all usual refinements, E/W, C/L, automatic boot release etc etc.

Motorsport Edition as in Subaru Type RA for example.

Don't the diffs bind up with the different tire sizes?

Similar to Type RA, but the gearboxes are the same.

The wheels are the same diamater, and only the width of the tyres slightly wider, so it does not affect the diff being 4wd.

Unhappy

Agree with dosenoffer, the extra width increases the circumference where the sidewall measurement is the same, as the 40 figure is a %age of the width, and not an actual measurement.

Wheelwright - Thanks for that.

I can assure you that it does not affect the car in anyway, but should it be an issue, I am happy to replace the rear tyres to match the fronts.
