00MY DBM turbo saloon for sale 17k miles
#1
Hi,
Ive been dreading this, but the time has come to find a new home for my much loved scooby.
Its a 2000 'X' reg dark blue saloon just approaching 17,000 miles. Its a UK car purchased by myself from new from Bentleys of sheffield, Aircon, FSSH, manufacturers warranty until october 2003. Just had its 22,500 service last month at FR Pulleyns in york.
The car currently has a scoobysport back box but will be sold with the original standard silencer and therefore a completely standard car. Despite me intending to do it for the last three years, my car has never been on a track day. Has been run on Optimax from day one, with ecu set up accordingly.
My car has always been a 2nd car as ive had company cars for travelling to work and the mundane A to B stuff.
£13995.
Can post pics if someone tells me how!

Cheers
PS Just curious as a mate is v interested in your car due to low mileage but this point sticks out like a sore thumb from your sales blurb. Thanks

Yes, its the just the normal ECU reset via subaru dealer. Had it done during service, dont think it cost me anything. My understanding was that although it will run fine on 98 octane without the reset, you will maximise the benefit by reseting.

MY00's are better at this well-known issue - they adjust themselves to the fuel whereas the earlier ones (pre-99 particularly) needed the reset to make a difference when *upgrading* the fuel. Obviously they all adjust if you put worse in, but only the more recent ones are better at adjusting upwards again once better quality fuel is in.
That's my understanding, anyway.
Anyone after a cheaper (but not so low milage) DBM MY00 should look at mine
Thought I'd edit to add help on posting photo's for you.
Put the photo's online somewhere (see "turbosport" for an uploader if you sign up, can't remember if it's .co.uk or .com). Then edit your post/repost and where you want the photo's to appear, type in:
{img}Your URL here{/img}
But, instead of the curly brackets use square brackets, ie. [ and ]
Obviously, replace the "Your URL here" bit by the web address of the pic. eg. http://a.b.c/mypic.jpg
