AdrianB said "I am interested........but why so cheap ?????

Even with VAT that is cheap for such low mileage.

[Edited by AdrianB - 5/7/2003 5:42:53 PM]"

Hi AdrianB.

The reason I'm selling is I bought a TVR about a year ago. The P1 is hardly used these days so I'd rather see it go to a good home then sit in the garage gathering dust.

I mentioned VAT (for some reason I lost half the original message when I posted it) because the car is based in Guernsey, Channel Islands and is not VAT paid. Transport can easily be arranged. For VAT advice please feel free to contact VAT help line on 0845 0109000.

Cheap? Maybe but I'd rather sell it for that price than have it sitting aroud for another year trying to screw another £1000 out of someone then have to drop the price later anyway. And bear in mind any potential buyer will need to get here to see it (£29 each way from Southampton with www.flybe.com)

If your interested please email me at plipton@plipton.com or call my mobile 07781 143499

BTW, It comes with the standard 10 spoke 17" alloys (with new P Zeros) and is virtually as new and has had no mods that affect the warranty (unlike some I've seen advertised).

Cool

Is there no way of avoiding the VAT, then it would be a bargain
Import it to a different country with a different tax rate e.g. Canary Islands only pay 5%, then drive it in to the UK.

Cool

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Looks like it's gone - it was HPI'd this morning and the guy wants to see it this weekend (he won't be dissapointed!).

If he changes his mind I'll re-submit the ad.

I've now got it home from Guernsey ... fantastic car ! nothing wrong with it at all, and totally pristine, I'm so chuffed, I could kiss the guy who sold it to me on both cheeks. A bit French I know, but what the hell....

Hi Alan,

I'm glad you're pleased with the car - not sure about the kissing bit though. LOL !!!

So I presume it comes with the origional P1 alloys.
Do the side strips come off easily?
Also, does it come with the big brakes, like in the picture?

Is £20k cheap for a P1?
This model seems to be one of the few Impreza's that hasn't depreciated as much as the current range of new age style.
Is there no way of avoiding the VAT, then it would be a bargain

BTTT for ya

Theres no way of dodging the VAT. Rang up to find out

You have to proove you've paid VAT before you can register the car in the UK.
