Question

Defiant

And exactly how were you able to come up with that expert assessment?

My brother in law had one, which I was considering buying. It had 130k on the clock, and he advised me not to because in his expert opinion it wouldn't last much longer.

159k miles hence £2150
If engine longevity wasn't an issue why reflect it in the price...

The vox 2.0 16v engine's go on for ever (after u sort out a possible porous head) - I've known many to go well over the 200k mark..... just needs to be looked after like any other engine

my last car was an Nreg calibra 2.0 16v ecotec in met green with creme leather in mint condition with 83,000 on it when i bought it, a friend of mine works for looker nissan manchester and he told me that a bloke brings one in for servicing which has covered 215,000 on origonal engine and box with no major probs and many he sees have 150,000plus ,so with regular servicing they do seem to last well. but milage is definately reflected in price, i px'd mine with 93,000 for my scooby and only got £2500 for it (i paid £4000 for it 12 months earlier).
