My brother in law had one, which I was considering buying. It had 130k on the clock, and he advised me not to because in his expert opinion it wouldn't last much longer.
If engine longevity wasn't an issue why reflect it in the price...

heh were not talking about scoob engines are we these engines are very tough as long as they are serviced and the timing belt is changed when they are supposed to they will do 200000 miles

my last car was an Nreg calibra 2.0 16v ecotec in met green with creme leather in mint condition with 83,000 on it when i bought it, a friend of mine works for looker nissan manchester and he told me that a bloke brings one in for servicing which has covered 215,000 on origonal engine and box with no major probs and many he sees have 150,000plus ,so with regular servicing they do seem to last well. but milage is definately reflected in price, i px'd mine with 93,000 for my scooby and only got £2500 for it (i paid £4000 for it 12 months earlier).
