The maximum penalty for the illegal possession of a firearm is 10 years imprisonment, a fine, or both.
Anyone thinking of buying this rifle should get the power checked by a decent gunshop beforehand.
It has to be below 12 ft/lbs muzzle energy or you require a firearms certificate.

Id be very suprised if that rifle is pushing more than 12ft/lbs. But as the last chap said - if you buy it make sure it isnt. Local gunshops wont usually charge to chrono your gun for you so you have no excuse.

i'm taking it over the gun shop at the weekend so i'll get it checked out & let you guys know. if i need a firearms licence how do i get one? if not i'll burn it as i have a new legal air gun on the way!
