RB5 - No.116
#1
As I will be working overseas for the foreseeable future, I have decided to sell my pride and joy. One lucky punter will get the opportunity to own one of the modern classics of our time... The RB5 Impreza.
This MY99(T) non-WR Sport version of 'THE CAR' has the external appearance and performance expectation of the full Prodrive enhanced model. With a full sports exhaust system (3.5" round Magnex) and ITG panel filter for 'improved respiration'.
The vehicle comes with a number of other minor sensible modifications such as uprated drilled/grooved brakes, Toyo Proxes at each corner, Momo gear **** and Sony stealth CD Player. A very discreet performance icon for the discerning Impreza enthusiast.
A recent PE rolling road session turned out approx. 260 BHP with a very smooth power delivery curve right through the rev. range. This car has never been tracked and whilst always respected, its true potential has been appreciated on occassions.
It has approx. 47k miles on the clock with the cambelt service completed at 40k. All modifications have been expedited by Subaru4You (thanks Len C); all receipts and original parts are also available for the vehicle.
Please see photo below courtesy of P1 Fanatic...
And as for the asking price? I'm looking for cash offers in the region of £12,750. But as always I will remain flexible...
May also be interested in hearing from people looking to PX a VW Golf GT TDI (130+ BHP) for the Missus - so make me an offer I can't refuse and put a smile back on the face of your daily run to work!!!
All replies to shanne.edwards@btopenworld.com or call me on 07810 518269.
Please remain patient as I work out in Kazakhstan on rotation for a 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off cycle and have limited access to e-mail, UK Mobile etc. I am in no rush, so please take your time...
NOTE: NO TEST PILOTS OR SN SEMI-PROFESSIONAL TYRE KICKERS!!!

I've been looking for a Scoob for a while and thought I could only insure a standard turbo.
Just got a quote from Liverpool Victoria for an RB5 and got a shock. It's only a few squid more than a standard so now I'm looking for an RB5.... well chuffed!
Where's your base in this country?

Thanx for the mail guys, I'm based in Newbury, Berkshire (M4).
Also, my time in the UK may be extended past the 12 June now, so I might have a few more weeks at home to crack a deal with someone...
Any queries, mail or call...

Shanne,
It was good to talk to you today.
Whilst I'm wading through the insurance 'fun-fair' (which looks good from Tesco @ £678), have you got any other pics you can send me? I want to be able to do get as much detail etc over these means rather than travelling all the way down to you only to find that it isn't what I imagined.
Only thing now is to get a decent tracker.... Any suggestions?
Al.

Hey Al,
Have promised that I will give No.116 a clean today and get some more photos sorted! Am in the middle of moving house at the moment too, so life is a bit hectic!
As soon as I get them done, I will e-mail them to you direct.
As for the tracker, my insurance company said that they would not offer any further discount with one fitted so I didn't invest!
Thanks for the interest so far and of course... BTTT!

I spent a lot tof time trying to get my figures up to meet Shanne for this car.
Unfortunately I can't manage the cost, but this car is a fantastic deal and Shanne is a gent, and was very patient as I 'fannied' around.
If you can't get any pictures, or want some more. E-mail me and I'll send some on.
BTT.
