as title:

Subaru Legacy Turbo
4 Wheel Drive
EJ20 single turbo (same as impreza engine)
for those who dont know, this car shares same floorpan, suspension, brakes, engine, gearbox etc as the impreza, just a different shell.
Uk car
rare N-reg (late registered, from memory i think it was april 1996, can check though).
just turned 80K miles on monday
oil + filter changed every 3000 miles max
service history to 60K miles, then all work done by myself. servicing is complete apart from the 45,000mile cambelt service: the cambelt was changed by a dealer (subaru dealer), and the book is stamped for it, however, the oil, filter, plugs etc etc were changed by the owner (subaru parts used) due to the rediculous service price of the dealers.
4 door saloon
silver
bodywork excellent condition
wheels absolutely unmarked (factory gold alloys)
unmarked interior (floor mats always used too)
half suede front seats (very supportive and comfortable).
recent new rear brake discs/pads, (fronts still good).
4 new Uniroyal (205/60x15- factory size) tyres a few weeks back, and 4 wheel alignment, cost about £250 total
sony head unit and 10 disc changer in boot
standard features such as 4 electric windows, electric tilt/slide sunroof, electric aerial, electric movement/heated mirrors, adjustable height drivers seat and steering column, momo leather steering wheel, gearknob, handbrake lever.
pipercross induction filter (from wrc focus)
ported exhaust headers
fully ported/polished cylinder heads, valve guides flush with port walls.
bottom end rebuilt about 6,000 miles ago only:
closed deck block
phase 1 crank
new big-end and main bearings (genuine subaru)
lightened flywheel (down to 8.4 kgs from about 11kgs ish.
block rebored +0.5mm oversize
new piston rings (genuine subaru)
cosworth forged pistons (very light!) with new gudeon pins
full genuine STi version 4 engine gasket kit, including 3 layer steel head gaskets
new cambelt (genuine subaru)
AP Racing clutch kit
impreza type RA close ratio gearbox, including RA diffs (low miles)
quickshift
*can fit 3" mongoose full system with twin dump downpipe for £250 extra, cost £500* .....not on car as i leave the house at 6am every morning from my quiet estate.

i have owned this car for since november 2001, and have enjoyed it. it had 60K miles when i bought it, and all my miles are motorway (70-80mph).
i would like to keep it, but due to a new job, i now do nearly 700miles a week, and cannot bring myself to pile the milage on this car, and the fuel bill is daft too. therefore i must sell and get a diesel to be practical.

as i said in the title, sale within next few weeks as im not sure when i can meet up for viewing etc due to work.
i am in north wales, and work in warrington from monday morning to sat dinner time.

honesty time:
i did have a minor knock in this car, happened on a small roundabout (early morn, not paying full attention). i hit a peugoet 205. my front wing/bumper/headlight, and also the rear quarter panel had a dent. like i say, was only minor, and the wheels, bonnet, and even the front fog light was untouched, which proves how minor it was.
note that no parts were bent back or filled during the repair, i bought a mint front light/indicator and wing from Grade-A subaru at a cost of £140, a brand new front bumper from subaru at £200, and a brand new rear quarter panel, again from subaru, at a cost of £300 !!
total repair cost me about £1200, excellent repair job.
i have photos of the damage but they are normal camera and not digital, so cant post on here, but i can show any viewers of the car.

i will hopefully get my digital camera back from a friend tomorrow afternoon, so i can get some pictures on here.

i have spent thousands on this car, and am asking £4495 no offers, which i think is very good considering the money spent. rebuild cost £2000 just for parts, and done 6000miles now.
mongoose exhaust £250 extra.
with the correct parts (bigger turbo and injectors etc, this car has great power potential.

have the original service book and handbook too.

also has Thatcham approved Category 1 Cobra alarm and dual electronic immobilisers.

cheers
ian

ps, email: defiantmitzy@aol.com

will post piccies asap.

thomo, trying to avoid all the questions that usually follow

sirp, agree mate, mongoose sounded excellent!

p.s. cheaper to insure than impreza, quote was £700 dearer when i tried. also does not attract unwanted attention when parked up.
