With great sadness the time has come for the 2.9 twin turbo XR4x4 track car to go up for sale
![Embarrassment](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Due to lack of time and money from the others in the project I can no longer afford to run both
the twin turbo track car and continue with my 4.0 twin turbo conversion on my other XR4. The car
is therefore up for sale for the bargain price of £700
The car is in need of some tlc, hence the low price, I'll start with the good stuff!
• 2.9 twin turbo engine
• Spax gas adjustable dampers
• Puma -35mm very stiff springs
• Polybushes on front track control arm
• Ashley Exhaust
• Mintex 1155 brand new pads on the front, with part worn 1144's on the back
• 3 door cossie front seats (not in mint condition, but this is a track car!)
• Oil cooler
• 2 x turbo boost gagues and mechanical oil pressure gague in dashboard
• 5 spoke alloy wheels (inc a red spare) 2 with good Yokohama A539, 2 worn
• interior stripped out bar dash and front door cards
• Full RS Body Kit
• 3 spoke sports steering wheel (from mkIII XR3)
• New Battery with receipt
• Twin electric fans
• The car does start and you can hear it running
• New fuel filter, air filter, plugs, ht leads, distributor cap and rotor arm
... ok, now the bad stuff
There is white smoke on over run (ie when slowing down from higher revs). I was assured
that the turbos were overhauled (no receipt) and I think it could be that they have not
sealed properly.
The body work is a little tatty, but this is a track car and was never the focus of much attention
and there is some rust where the boot closes down on that could do with some attention
It has been standing over the winter and didn't have enough antifreeze in and has popped a core plug out
froom the block behind the turbo
The car has no tax or MOT currently, but should sail through the MOT, as it has done for the last few years.
Please see www.xr4x4.co.uk for the life history of the car!
If you are interested drop me an email forsale@xr4x4.co.uk and I will
get straight back to you about any questions you may have.
