Unhappy

It is with deep regret that I have to sell my Focus RS.

Unfortunately, due to an expanding family I have to downgrade to an estate car !!

This is a beautiful car with great performance.

My car was bought new in the UK in January 2003 and has the balance of the Ford 3 year warranty.

It has covered 5,000 troublefree motorway miles

It is a standard car apart from Armourfend, Ghia interior light and Ghia intermittent Wiper Stalk.

It has been carefully run in by myself for the first 1,500 miles and always allowed to cool down after long journeys.

The car is now officially sold out so get in quick.

I am looking for £21,995

More info and pictures can be found at :

That's great - you are one of the lucky few that has managed to get one on a cancellation. I waited 9 months for mine !

Yes, I have seen them going for 24K.

I think the price is reasonable and includes a private plate as well as Armourfend.

Yes, the Wiper stalk and Ghia light are straight swaps and take a few minutes to fit. I had the dealer fit mine before I picked it up.

The standard ones are crappy base models !

Thats a very fair price mate, I have one which I got In Jan also and I am soooo pleased with it. Shame you have to sell mate I'm sure it won't take you long to find a genuine buyer.
Have you tried the Focus BBS ?

Thanks Jas.

Yes, I have placed it on the FocusRS BBS.

I will probably advertise it in Top Marques in the next few weeks.

It is dissapointing to sell. I waited 10 months to get it and counted down every second.

It puts a massive smile on my face every morning and eveining driving to and from work. Unfortunately, I don't get to use it at weekends due to the family, which grew whilst I was waiting for it to arrive !

Scooby-spy there's a lesson to be learnt there. Don't let things grow, otherwise you'll have to get a bigger car

Another BTTT for you.

Don't sell it get a banger for the family and keep it for best.

Thanks James

To oil the wheels of commerce, the price is now £21,495.

I checked the Autotrader site and this is a very good price for this car.

Bump for a lovely car, despite the heinious profiteering.

Please no negative comments on the price Bobby Peru, even if selling it for closer to list might further "oil the wheels of commerce".

Hey Turbo,

I see where you are coming from, but I am not profiteering for a number of reasons :
1) I didn't intentionally purchase the car to make a profit, the fact that I need to sell it and end up with a profit is a bonus. Although when you consider the cost of the car, the bits and the plate, the actual profit margin is not large.

2) Supply & Demand - I am asking the average price as opposed to the high prices some people are !

Question

Hi why is it that there is a few of these for sale now,i know some people are trying to profit of them but there is a few selling at no profit gain,is it because you need a loan on a weekly basis just for the fuel !! (what do they do mpg around town) as i have one on order its the wife's car but ill have to get a second job so that she can run it !!!!!
We gave a scooby up so she cauld have this, but the scoob was not to heavy on fuel . JUST HOPE IT WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE

Dave,

It's pretty good on fuel - take a look at the link I placed to www.buzzpod.co.uk. I think it's about 27Mpg combined

I think some peopel are selling due to changing circumstances as myself, others find the sporty ride too much i.e. there weren't any available for test drives so people ordered them without knowing what they would be like. It is a performance car more than a Focus and I think some people got caught out in terms of they probably thought it would be more like an ST170 rather than a Cosworth !

OK, I need to sell.

The price is £20,400 no offers.

This is exactly what it cost me with the number plate and the armourfend.

They are £20,100 new but I understand that all 2000 UK RHD cars are now sold !
