Yep been looking at MK2s saw that but this line put me off
I cannot weld myself and do not fancy the idea of getting someone else to do the work for me
If you cant weld yourself then surely you have *no* option but get someone else to do it for you, if you're into cars then you or guys you hang out with are gonna know a decent welder aint ya???

GaryK -

After reading that again it doesn't make much sense, does it? I meant that I didn't fancy the idea of paying someone else to weld it because of the cost involved. I do have a mate who is a fantastic welder but he is in the process of moving to France so cannot do the work for me. Other people claim that they can weld but I woldn't trust anyone but him on a car like this.

TN,

Sure, you havent had any quotes for the work then? It looks a well pukka motor from the pictures and it seems a steal at the current bid price, will be keeping an eye on it for sure, anyway a free bttt for ya!

I've had people quote me around £500 but I also have a Cossie to look after too, so one has to go.
