Yeh, fitting this up-pipe to a new shape will do away with the catted OEM up-pipe. (remove the restriction!)
There are gains to be had fitting an uprated up-pipe to classic or new shape, but probably more so the new shape as it's removing the cat too?

That looks like the up pipe from a sport?
First pipe in the front of the pic below is the up pipe I have for sale.
Same manufacturers as Scoobysport downpipes and system (not the new Janspeed stuff)
