4,500 miles. Road legal, but currently set up for the track. This car came 4th in the 2001 Jaguar Car Club Tom Rowe Centurian Challenge (with 5 class wins from 7 starts).
Fitted with a dry sumped 4.8l John Eales Rover V8 engine, producing 327BHP and over 300 ft/lb of torque all the way from 2,000RPM up to 5,750 (peak 367 ft/lb). This engine is extremely tractable, and can easily be tuned for even more power. It has an all steel bottom end, forged pistons and beautifully ported big valve heads with a custom designed triple plenum. Currently fitted with a mild cam, as it was designed to be used in endurance races, where reliability was more important than outright power.
Braking is done by a custom designed setup consisting of 4 pot Brembo brakes all round clamping 330mm vented discs, with front/rear bias adjustment. The brakes alone are worth £4.5k. This car will outbrake most things that you will meet on the track.
Full data logging is fitted, allowing you to replay your speeds/temperatures/lap times when you get home, or at the track, if you have a laptop with you. Cable and PC software are included.
All oil, fuel and brake hoses are Aeroquip braided steel. Electrical cutoff switches, removable steering wheel, fire extinguisher and 4 point harnesses means that the car is ready to race. Alternatively, the electrical cutoff switches and removable steering wheel are classified as imobilisers by insurers (road insurance for a 5,000 mile limited mileage policy is about £250 from a specialist).
Currently fitted with a 100l fuel tank, for endurance racing, and foam formed seats. The tank and seats can easily be replaced with the standard items from Ultima if long range is not required as much as additional space.
The car currently runs on road legal Yokohama A032R's, which I have found to be excellent for both road and track use (race regulations required the use of road legal tyres). These tyres have only had one outing on a test day, so still have plenty of life left in them.
A good set of spares is included. Spare brake discs and pads. Spare rims (12" wide rears and 10" fronts) along with all the usual springs, lights, splitter (and splitter mold) etc that you would expect.

I'll be sorry to see it go, but business commitments mean that I won''t be able to race it this year, and I hate to see a good car go to waste.

Megablade. Hmmm... They're those little dots I kept seeing in my rear view mirror ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Cracking fun though. I just love those bike engined Caterfields. Very impressive on the twisty bits.

A man with good taste in colours I see.
I considered changing the colour a couple of years ago. Then I thought. An Ultima in Allegro hearing aid beige would still be a bit OTT, so why not just keep it looking LOUD!
