Hi,
Forgive my ignorance, but is this an imported WRX then ..? If so, what's the BHP / Torque ...
I have an STI7 that I'm selling and am looking to trade down, but without loosing the performance ...

Hi,
I'm over at Danger Mouse's and am having to post on his ID as I can't remember my password!!
The car is an import and has 240ps. The MY00 WRX Wagon ECU was mapped to give more torque lower down in the rev range to take into account the higher payload capacity.
The WRX import achieves the higher power output over the export version by using a bigger turbo and intercooler, run by a different engine management setup. The engine is generally stronger allowing a greater potential for tuning. This all sits under a lightweight alloy bonnet. (text stolen from www.iwoc.co.uk).
Let me know if you want more info.
Mike.
Hope this helps, let me know if you want more details.

Hi Mike,
Thank you.
Have you had any issues whilst servicing, etc? Do you use a main dealer?
Have there been any problems with spare parts, etc?
I've not considered an import before and just wanted to know if you have any advice / concerns.
Mail me offline if you wish as per my profile.
Thanks Mike.
