it's one of the best driving experiences money can buy!
could be tempted by a griff - what exactly have you got?
i'd agree on the engine front too. I've driven alot of Cerbera's with the different engines and the 4.2 was always the best. They later 4.5's had to be de-tuned by TVR, so the actual bhp difference was minimal, but the 4.2 is more flexible adn reliable and actually had more grunt in the lower gears...i wouldnt touch the early 3.6's either!!

I'll send you a quick email..... you never know........
Rumour has it that the 4.5 and 4.2 engines are very similar these days, with only different induction setups and different inlet designs The 4.2 you gets cast alloy inlets with butterfly body. On the 4.5 you get those purple designed ones.
Unless it's a Speed 6 that spends all its time back in Blackpool getting rebuilt.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Pictures please? I really want one of these but every time I think about jumping in and treating myself I hear a horror story and tales of £5k a year just to keep them running. Went to the TVR garage and even the sales guy told me there great as a weekend toy.
Not the pitch I want to hear!!! £19k sat in my garage.

Apologies for not responding quickly - just got back a few days off. i've scanned some pics and will send them to you guys from work tomorrow. cheers for the offer to upload the pics onto this site :-)
I had the same fears about running costs etc but i bought privately, got a tvr main dealer to inspect the car (£150) and when they gave it the all clear, settled for it. Nothing has gone wrong or fallen off and to date all its always started and all its cost me is petrol and a service. The M3 had more problems with it!

anyone else interested? you won't find another car that will turn as many heads and make you feel so good when driving.
i'd be open to serious offers..

i agree with the looks - in my view the new TVR's are too fusy and over worked. the cerbera is still the most timeless and best looking shape ever to roll out of blackpool!
you'd be surprised about the insurance - most wouldn't touch me (being only 24) but Tesco Insurance, with 4 NCB was £1100, which i think is really quite good!!
the 4.2's love miles aswell - the better engines are the ones that are used regularly for longer journey's! I know a mate who commutes from Sussex to London in his every day!!

Yep the insurance is quite surprising-just tried with Tesco for an idea and it's £963.00 fully comp with my girlfriend on it. Doesnt even ask for security!!! 27 yr old, garaged, six years no claims.

i've heard the insurance is cheaper than people expect due to the relatively low theft rating the vehicle has. I presume its because of the keyless start, no visable door handles, specialist resale market and that fact that most joy riders would be too scared to drive it!! Plus they all have Cat 1's fitted and TVR's own immobiliser..
just don't wrap it around a tree...!!

M3 looks great rob - nice car....
to be honest though i'm probably looking for something a bit different as i have already had an E36 M3 Coupe and fancy some open air motoring next.....
Would consider p/x swap on any of the following: Honda S2000, BMW M Roadster, early 2.7 Boxster, Caterham R300
or
Scooby 22B, and PPP'd RB5.

thanks -
has anyone had a 22B for a while? i've always fancied one but hear v different stories about them!! i love the shape but what are they really like to live with?
would an Evo 7 FQ-300 be a better bet?

it would keep the misses happy, as she will asume the 22B is cheaper and that I would not be throwing as much money down the drain on that "silly TVR" as she calls it..... as you can see the TVR's sale has some politics around it!!!
