Boomer I think you will find that these units are on 1.2GHz and yes it is a legal frequency in the uk ( mobile phones , computer networks etc ) IIRC the camera has a 50mw transmitter and in line of sight applications the pictures are good. Some of these small cameras have an inherant broblem with auto white calibration but to be perfectly honest I cannot comment on the specific ones that Tony has. The cameras are 1/3 inch ccd and the lenses are available from Maplins (about 7 different ones)

Maybe if Tony manages to sell a few hunderd I'll start a group buy on the ICOM R3 scanner which can view them

Steve

Good bits of kit these, we shipped a few in from Hong Kong a few months ago and strap them to our remote control planes for air to air footage. Also a hoot to stap them to an r/c car and drive it off down the street while watching it on TV !!!

When Tony is sold out you can get them off ebay too

I have bought a quantity of these as a service to fellow Scoobynet members as I know we are all worried about security these days. I am NOT making a profit on them, merely covering my costs e.g. postage

As they are wireless they can be used anywhere you need an extra 'eye'.

**Full Colour
**Audio from camera back to base station
**Mains or PP3 Battery Operated
**1000ft. range
**Plug into phono outs on TV (or use a Scart/Phono adapter)
**Plug into phono outs on VCR to enable recording of images
**Very small unit - See photo for scale against PP3 battery
**12 Months warranty
**Fantastic Picture Quality
**3 LUX light rated

Could be used in a host of locations:-

**In the car - Main reason I got them!!
**Kids nursery
**Garage
**Shed
**In the bedroom
**Looking over garden or drive
**In the office
**Even fix it to your clothing and play Treasure Hunt (OK, maybe not)

You get one camera, one base station and 2 transformers in the pack enabling you to either use mains or battery power on the camera

Price £99.00 each if collected or £105.00 delivered (Business Post)

Any questions, please feel free to call me.

Cheers

TONY

Any way you can get an example of picture quality? Looks like a very handy little tool!

Right, OK, just got back

fin

No worries mate, I will wait to here from you.

mark245

You are getting sorted

steve_nairm_sti

You will just have to trust me re. picture quality. If it were crap I would not have bought them.

MR_MAJ

Will call you soon.

Catalunya74

This unit only accepts one camera, although other variants were available. They are not IP rated so you would have to mount it indoors or in an IP rated enclosure.

Cheers

Cool

Tony

This comes under the category of "Group Buy" & is not a FS item - so off to General...

Question

I am also tempted (even though i have no money )

Couple of Qs...

How long can the camera last on a single PP3? I already have a battery powered bullet camera which lasts ages, but it uses wire rather than radio.

What radio spectrumy-frequency does it use, and is it legal for the UK. Don't want ambulances falling out of the air do we

Are they IR LEDs on the camera (thus see in the dark). If so, can they be turned off to improve batter life re: Q1??

Oh, and how many units before they run out (or if sensitive, are there many left )

Cheers,

mb

boomer

Have not tested actually time, but the one I have been playing with has been on for ages.

Will have to check the exact frequency, but they are legal

There are no IR LED'S on the camera - LUX rating is 3

I still have a couple left at the moment.

Cheers
