Its been going on for years according to the guy who told me it can be done but really is it worth it?? give it to a charity that take em overseas do something good with it!! I put a V70 into a local shop for repair got it back didnt work phoned orange it was a stolen internal with my case......Cost him more then a V70 as orange dumped his ***!! and i got a brand new V70 off him!

Changing the IMEI number is HIGHLY illegal. Phone will only be good for parts now.ie Screen, chassis.

Messing with the IMEI ( the phone ID ) can get you 5 years in prison , you cant sell BLOCKED phones on Ebay or any mobile phone forums , the only way a phone will get blocked is if it has been reported lost or stolen and these days its cross network barring so the phone will not work on any network .

It will make a nice looking door stop though :-)
