Elektra Beckum crosscut mitre saw for soft metal / wood - this is a £400 - £500 saw - not the squagimoshi sh1te they sell in B&Q ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
The saw is German made, 240 v / 1600 Watt soft start induction motor - the head of the saw does not move at all when you fire the saw - unlike the cheap and nasty models thak kick like hell when you pull the trigger - in fact the soft start is so effective you can put your finger on the side of the blade and pull the trigger - the blade will stay stationary with reasonable pressure.
I have used the saw to kit out my cellar / workshop and it is now going to make room for a larger saw, the saw I had before this was a Hitachi - these are a quality saw themselves but this thing is miles smoother to use. It is in very good condition.
It will cut 310 mm on the pull, and about 70mm on the depth - this is at 90 degress. The fence has a quick release latching design, and cuts to the right or left up to 48 degress IIRC. The cut on the bevel will tilt the head to the left again to 48 degrees.
There is a choice of 2 blades - 40T TCT for timber ( virtually brand new ) , and a 126 T TCT for Aluminium/UPVC section ( these blades are £100+VAT alone to buy ) , I will sell the saw with either or both blades:
with 40T TCT for timber - £200.
with 126T TCT for Aluminium/UPVC section - £ 220.
Both blades - £240.
I am open to SENSIBLE offers![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
The saw weighs about 22KG , I would box it and post it to the UK for £20, other wise I would be happy to meet up, we also have vans that work nationally etc..
Any questions please mail as profile.
Cheers,
Mike.
