Sorry to interrupt and potentially cost you a sale, but there are still a few cars available at list price.

Some dealers have cars where people have pulled out (for whatever reason; changed their mind, got bored waiting, couldn't get finance) and have them for a quick sale before Ford ask for them back.

Anyone interested should go to www.focusrs.co.uk and sign up to the forum and look on there. £1.5k is a lot of money to pay extra if they're not all sold yet!

[UPDATE] Inchscape in Bracknell have one for sale! Available right now.

I have heard of 1 or 2 still available at list due to cancellation, however these are single figures only and are being snapped up. If you look at the various trader sites you will see that 2nd hand prices are higher and some of these are from FORD dealers. The ones that have become available are an exception rather than the norm.I await to hear other, thanks

Nobody is having serious problems with them.

When people got them in the Winter, a few had problems with the CD changer (skipping, not loading discs properly). Most likely condensation or something because they all 'fixed' themselves and it's never been reported since.

The front seat bases do sag a bit, but it's down to personal opinion how bad it is. All leather seats sag/stretch a bit and I don't think it's any worse than other cars with leather trim. However, FMC have apparently issued a fix that will improve the seat base.

There was also some vibration through the accelerator pedal at certain revs. This was fixed part way through production (April?) but I've got no idea on retro-fitting the mod to older cars?

The biggest problem is the coolant hoses. One of mine split but was fixed quickly and easily. To be honest, now nearly all the cars have been delivered I think you can see that it's a tiny percentage of cars where this has been a problem.. but I admit it may be a point of concern in years to come.

Some people are changing the standard hoses for the tougher Samco ones - but I think I'll stick with standard as nothing has gone wrong since. (The reason is the hoses being attached by hand - always a recipe for disaster).

All in all, the car seems pretty sound and certainly no worse than any other performance car that invariably gets more of a battering than a 1.0ltr Micra driven down the shops!
