For sale – My Peugeot 205

The car is a 1.9GTI. It started life as a 1.6 but has been converted (except for the 1.6 gearbox

The car is a real nice red with standard bodywork except for an auto bonnett which looks real nice! It has covered 90,000 miles and is an H reg (1990) with an MOT till the end of January 2004. When I first bought it 4 years ago, it was HPI clear by the garage I got it from and hasn’t been in any accidents during my ownership.

Here is the spec:

ENGINE
1.9 GTI APPROX 90K
K+N 57I INDUCTION KIT
MAGNEX STAINLESS STEEL 4 BRANCH MANIFOLD
MAGNEX STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH 3” TAILPIPE
SHORTER RATIO 5 SPEED GEARBOX (1.6 box)

SUSPENSION
AVO DAMPING ADJUSTABLE FAST ROAD SUSPENSION KIT
PEUGEOT ECOSSE –30 MM LOWERING SPRINGS
309 REAR BEAM (slightly wider rear track width)
SPARCO FRONT STRUT BRACE

WHEELS AND TYRES
16” MILLIE MIGLIA SPYDERS
195 45 R16 MICHELLIN (BACK) AND PIRELLI (FRONT)

BRAKES
300MM BIG BRAKE CONVERSION FROM HIGH SPEC MOTORSPORT
WILLWOOD 4 POT CALLIPERS (BILLET, DYNALITE)
STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE HOSES (HI SPEC)
MINTEX 1144 BRAKE PADS

EXTERIOR
PEUGEOT AUTOMATIC POWER BULGE BONNET
CLIO REAR WIPER
CLEAR SIDE REPEATERS

FREE STUFF*
Turbo technics kit – Inc turbo – fuel controller – 5th injector stuff – intercooler – manifold – bailey d/valve – etc etc

Morette twin headlights Lockwood 205 gti stainless steel sill protectors / kickplates
White dials Peugeot Ecosse – Esquiss front grill (if I can find it)
Sparco carbon fibre pedal set Lowering springs (-50) Unknown make bought from Forum

Loads of Peugeot contacts and information will also be included with the purchase.

The car has a slight problem with the indicators. If your indicating and touch the brakes (enough to make the brake lights illuminate) then the indicators sometimes cut out. An auto electrician has told me this is just a bad earth at the back of the car and should be quite easy to sort out. Not knowing anything about electric’s I would just like to sale the car as is.

The car bodywork is in good condition – as is the interior. The engine is fast and responsive and it recently had a 2nd hand gearbox put on.

* I want about 2500 ONO for the car and will throw in a load of free extras – (ie turbo technics kit - see above for more info)

It’s a shame I have to sell it as the car is real fun. I have been instructed by the misses to get a newer more comfortable car and at the end of the day, what the misses wants, the misses gets. If a newer, more comfortable car means a Subaru Impreza Turbo WRX STI Type R– then I guess I will just have to tow the line….

Please email me with any questions. Martin.lee@renishaw.com

My TypeR is deffinetly more comfortable than my old 205 1.9.

Anyway, I know someone who may be interested. I'll pass the details on to them.

christ - you really don't realise how fast your thread drops down until you put one up of your own.
