MMMMM...Not knocking the car but.....

Just travelled 2.5hrs to see it.

3 owners from new Lovely exterior, lovely interior, immaculate engine 0,000's spent...only downside to this is...

Tax runs out september and no MOT..AND - HPI check - Marked off as SCRAPPED....April 03. No real reaction from the seller - thus guess he knew already??

This maybe the reason why deposits paid for previous buyers did not come back to collect the car??

If i'd paid no doubt the police would have been around to arrange removal of the said car and i would be out of pocket by the 0,000's with no recompense...

On well 5th car lucky maybe...I just hope nobody from these forums gets stiffed with a duffer car thats all..and before anyone says - it is a really nice car - couldnt see any damage repair's etc.

So anyone want to slag me off for stopping this guy selling the car then go ahead but i want to stop other people wasting their time with HPI checks and deposit losses or even a car purchase..if thats a crime then what is selling a car under false pretense??

THANK GOD FOR HPI..

Quite within your right to point this out mate, however, I don't think it's quite right that you imply that I knew about it! I did not HPI the car when I bought it earlier this year, a mistake I will not be repeating!

Depending on confirmation from the DVLA on monday morning, the car will no longer for sale, I will either keep it, or strip it and sell the bits.

The HPI scrap Date for the car from the police was April 03 - you bought it February 03?? Just seemed that with the fact you were not bothered it was a ringer that didnt seem right??? I would be onto the guy that i bought it from - or going to police if he sold you a scrapped car knowing it was scrapped?? see what i mean??

Trust me mate I am very bothered, I spent just under £7000 on that motor in February, and another £4000 on an engine rebuild in June. Now I find out the car may be worth nothing!
I am already onto the previous owner and will pursue the matter come Monday morning. I am very sorry you drove for 2.5 hours, but I am more concerned with the fact I may be ten grand out of pocket! The last thing I need is people accusing me of knowingly selling dodgy cars.

I don't know about that mate, all I know is the date is definitely wrong, I can only 100% vouch for the history of the car since February 2003, I''ll let you know on Monday regardless,

cheers
