I have two of these kits available which I got when buying a load of stuff from the US. It is an original Subaru part comprising of the swich, bulbholder and bulb along with some wiring which fits straight into the mounting points already present on the car.

Very easy to fit, you just have to remove the glovebox and connect two wires to an illumination source (or permanently live source if you prefer - the light only comes on with the glovebox open). Have a look here for details although UK cars may not have the pink connector shown there.

£25 each including postage - price is fixed because I'm not making any money off these when postage and import duty costs are taken into consideration.

Cheers

Paul, Interested m8 .. I need to check where the alarm keypad is to see if that is in the way first. Unless you know the answer on a standard UK car ?

Sorry mate don't know cos mine doesn't have the sigma alarm so no keypad. Let me know once you've had a look, should be quite easy to see as the holes are fitted to all MY98 on AFAIK.

Cheers.

Possibly interested Paul, but £25 is a hell of a lot of money for a bulb and switch....

Tell me about it.... ain't it great living in the UK, to import some dash parts and these light kits it cost almost as much for the shipping and customs charges as it did for the parts And that was spreading out the cost between 5 people!

I agree the price is a little high for what it is (then again isn't everything Subaru related?) but unfortunately I'm going to lose money on the stuff I imported due to underestimating the charges and since this was a non-profit group buy I didn't want to ask everyone for more money after I'd agreed the price

Dunno... Dave do you reckon this is the same for all models that have the keypad? Is the keypad covering the hole?

Thanks for the info so I can pass it on to anyone who's interested in the kit.

On mine it is. The keypad could be moved along a little but the wires on mine won't let it ... On others there should be more slack in the wire I think mine is too tight even in the normal postion. My advice would be to check each one.

Dave.
