***NOW WITH PIC'S ON PAGE 1 AND 2***
Ok then folks. Here goes. Don't really want to do this but it looks like the new house is going to make me part with my pride and joy.
As I am going to be moving to a more evpensive pad in the country......blah blah blah...,you know the rest.It means a few extra pennys wouldn't go wrong. So my baby is up for adoption.
She is a WRX STI 5 TYPE RA in white. For those of you who don't know what all that means, I will explain. She is a four door with light weight panels, no sound proofing or undersealing and would have come out of the factory without a boot spoiler, but a version five one has been fitted.
With it being an STI that means it is the red top engine. This is a closed deck block (stronger than non STI) and it is lightened and balanced giving it an 8250 rpm red line. The claimed power is around 308 to 310bhp.
Gearing is significantly shorter than standard Impreza's which makes it to date the fastest accelerating Subaru. This also has the variable diff control which allows the driver to control the power delivery to front and rear wheels.
The brakes are Subaru four pots on the front and two pots on the rear which is a bigger set up than even a P1. Therefore great stopping power.
Other toys are the roof vent and water spray to aid the reduction of inlet charge temperature and give more power.
That is how the car was built and sold.
The following has been fitted during it's life out of the showroom.
The wheels are 17 inch Team Dynamics in gold. The style is the very same as a P1 wheel.
Clear repeaters fitted to both front and side.
It also has the jap style red and white rear light clusters which are standard on these cars.
On the inside the dash layout is similar to most late classic Impreza's, apart from the read out for diff setting and water spray level. There is also the roller located between the gear stick and handbrake for adjusting the diff setting.
Genuine Subaru mats fitted front ard rear.
The seats are sued grey with red stitching and STI logo.
There are two gauges fitted in a pod on the window pillar. One is boost which reads in psi, and the other is an AFR (air and fuel mixture reading) meter which is good to keep an eye on how she is running. Makes sure there are no melt down problems.
I also changed the centre console from the jap style double din to a UK spec single din. This came out of a P1, therefore is the same silvery grey as the rest of the dash.
With it being the RA (Race altered) there is no passenger air bag. Instead there is an extra cubby box. The driver still gets the MOMO steering wheel with the air bag though!
That is the spec on the car. A few more points. The milage is now in mph instead of kph and is at 34500 miles. I bought her at about 29500 in march of this year. Before I took delivery as the first UK owner she had a new clutch fitted ( AP racing ) and a full service. I have a personal plate on just now, but she would be a "V" plate, 1999 model.
MOT is until march 2004 and I have just put six months road tax on.
This is my second scooby and I have also driven others such as the P1 and bugey STI's etc, all of which are great cause they are scoobys, but for me this is the one that makes me feel like Colin MacRae. Open the roof vent, put the windows down a bit and go for a drive on any road. You don't even need to go fast. Gear changes are still short. It just makes me feel good. It might not be everyones cup of tea but it certainly will always be mine.
I have pics of her but dont know how to post them, so please be patient and I will try and get them up asap.
I am not looking for any swaps, P/X's or offers for parts on the car. She goes as one.
Ideally I am looking for £14995ono.
No doubt I will have missed something out, so please feel free to ask away if you have any Q's.
I know that eveyone always says that the car they are selling is in mint condition and is perfect so people will come and look, but this one really is. She gets lots of looks where ever you go because of the roof vent and the bright white its got the rally look.
Sorry to go on. Off to try and sort out the pic's.
If you are interested then mail me and I will be as helpful as I can.
Regards
Jamie

I think the WRX STI 5 TYPE RA came with the boot spoiler as standard. It was the WRX TYPE RA that came without.
Yours should have been on from factory, which in my opinion is preferable to somebody else fitting it.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

BTTT, if you think your scooby is fast then have a drive in one of these monsters..... you will be gobsmacked at just how fast these things rip up the tarmac!
Great cars, propper scobies.

Nice try Andy.
You know the score.
If I can't sell her then it will mean Ally will use it for her work. Not a massive problem, but would be better if I could get a Jeep or something like that. And then later on get a Scooby for the track.
Just need to see what happens.
Keep your ear to the ground for me. I will see you ok if there are results.
P.s you going to make it to the wedding on friday night?
