Talking

I have the following for sale, ideally as a job lot but will split if i have to or there is insufficient interest in taking the lot.

EJ20 closed deck block - machined and ready to use.
STI5 phase 2 heads complete - all valves tested ok and camshafts present etc
Phase 1 polished crank.
Apexi 550c injectors - two weeks road use only.
Power Enterprise 1818 turbo - good for 1.7 bar and beyond, 4 weeks road use.

and the remainder of an sti5 phase 2 engine which could be used to build the above.

The only bits missing are rods and pistons, there are sensible reasons for this -

The buyer could decide to stick with 2000cc and buy suitable rods and pistons, OR if they did want a real hi-power motor they could return the block to the machine shop for further work and have it bored out to 2.3-2.5 and welcome to 500hp+

At the cosworth tuners who were going to build my car with 2000cc, a decent ecu, my aps front mount (which may still be available its under discussion at the moment) the garage were happy to guarantee a 420-440bhp rebuild proven with there bench dyno, if further boring done and the capacity increased then there will be a lot more to play with.

I'm really not sure what this lot is worth, i am open to SENSIBLE offers for the whole engine, please don't take the mick or enter into some debate about it.

Who ever buys it just has to add pistons and rods (do some more machining if extra cc required and get building!) for a VERY serious engine rebuild.

please email ptholt@rocketmail.com if interested.

top for the morning.

Judging from the number of blown up scoobs i saw being taken into rivetts, someone must prefer the option of a non warping closed deck block rather than a rebuild of a phase 2 'wobbler'...

Right, have received no serious offers for the bits as a whole, so am now prepared to strip.

fmic, phase 2 heads and turbo are already under offer, but everything else is still available -

closed deck block - ready to use!
polished phase 1 crank
apexi 550cc injectors
phase 2 fuel rails

and any bits from a std st5 engine excluding rods/pistons and block itself.

what you would gain is a much stronger block than phase 2 blocks which under load or when modded have a tendency to suffer from piston walk.

Basically there is so much open space around the bores for cooling etc that they are just not strong enough.
