Want a P1 on the cheap?
Well heres your chance I have one which needs a little bit of work but is basically a very sound motor, that might go to a new home..
Details is as follows:
27k miles X Reg - Warranty until November 2003
Only two track days
Prodrive Alcon Upgrade - New Pads, New Discs last year
Powerstation - Geometry Settings, Bumpsteer AND antilift kit.
Full Scoobysport Exhaust system plus original
Face-off/autohide away Kenwood CD player (£400)
Cadence Speakers All Around (£350)
Oil regularly changed between services with Silkolene
Body and Air Conditioner Services up to date
Full General Service History
Everything else is totally standard ie tracker etc etc....
ONLY £16500 NO OFFERS!!!!!!!
Please dont ask for PX etc Im only getting rid of this as Im a bit stretched financially, if I wasnt, I wouldnt even entertain selling it.
The Catch!
Well its not a minter but then its not a total shed either.
Back bumper has a scuff and needs respray
In need of new tyres
Wheels need refurbneeds tax
Front bumper need respray refitting/replacing????
Nearside headlight is cracked but still works was damaged by dealer 'fixing' bumper
I would estimate on a WORSE case scenario the front bumper needs replacing but I cant say for sure, I will gladly discuss the bumper situation further.
The price takes worst case scenario into account and is still cheap by my reckoning.
Having said that I drove around as is for six months with no problems.
The cars is currently garaged in cambridge and has been for the past six months but is regularly run at weekends. So only serious parties only has a viewing will be tricky as I am in London and have no transport at present.

IMHO mate,
your honesty will probably put people off, as the items you mention that require replaced/repaired give an overall indication of the way the car has been looked after, and it isn't very appealing to your average buyer who doesn't want to buy a car circa £17k and then have to spend £1k+ getting it presentable.
All my humble opinion though, and good luck with the sale.

As I said earlier i dont really want to sell and im certinaly not interested in hundreds of rounds of twenty questions. if ppl cant recognise it as the bargain it is then so be it, in my world honesty still means something..
However with the exception of wheel curbing all damage was caused by third parties...

Honesty wont put people off, id rather know up front. Every sod under the sun advertises as "mint!" but they never are, and it pisses you off when you get there.
