Thought I’d post, to keep this as a FOR SALE thread and not a slagging off of buyers/sellers as been seen in the past.
It was I who agreed to buy Leigh’s EVO and as always with these things there are two sides to a story. Travelled the 4 hours round trip last Wednesday to view the car it was disappointing not to leave a deposit as the problem with my collarbone. Discussed matters with the Doctor Saturday morning, with the outcome of a manual would improve my shoulder, promptly called Leigh and agreed a cash deal of £21,500 with collection of the monies Wednesday morning and hand over 2pm the same day.
Monday insurance and breakdown cover arranged with Tesco at a very reasonable rate even given all the mods declared.
Wednesday morning had a chance to speak with Jenny at RC who could only praise the car, ability and how pampered it was, said a good idea to show it on 12th October at Santa Pod and even run as the car was designed for it. Collected cash from Bank (not happy walking to the car with that amount in folding) on route to collect eldest son hear about a bad business debt against my company which I have to cover to the tune of 15 grand.
Not an easy decision to make or indeed a phone call to make as I inform Leigh of the position and how bad I feel about letting he down at the eleventh hour. I have always dealt with people honestly, fairly and with a high degree of integrity as I would expect in return, I am not in a position to shell out £36,500 for the two above things at the same time.
Leigh, I know you’ve set your heart on the M3 which will come in time, but at the end of the day you still have Bess in your garage and the dream of the M3 albeit delayed. I on the other hand have neither Bess in my garage or the £15k.
All I can do is wish you luck with the sale of the car and can strongly recommend it to anyone.
Cheers
Nick

Didn't post yesterday as I had a few things to sort out, also often found best not to post if angry or pi$$ed, fortunately I did not attempt to find comfort at the bottom of a beer glass.
As you say tomorrow is another day, am being bit more positive about things, **** happens.
Lets just see if we can get this sold and get your ar$e into an M3.
Cheers

im philosophical about it now. im in no rush to sell, she'll be worth what im asking a month or two from now(maybe even 6 months), whereas m3's are coming down all the time. im in no rush to sell, but will go the topmarques route when i get back from holiday. i go in 3 weeks time, obviously it'd be nice to sell before i go, but if not, its no major drama, may even save me some money in the long run, who knows. every cloud an' all that

just done a nice full hpi check online for whoever buys this car too. all clear (as i knew, coz i did one when i bought it) and it saves you time and money. certificate should be with me in a couple of days, have the onscreen report in the meantime. cant get fairer than that
