***Dual ball bearing turbo upgrade for classic scoob***
#1
Re-advertised due to a sucession of people wasting my time.
This is a dual ball bearing turbo upgrade for the classic scoob, a direct bolt on from power enterprise, is just over a year old though only been used on the road for approx 2 months!
This tubro has AWESOME spool up for a turbo of this size, giving more power than a IHI VF22 + full boost around 3500rpm and holding to redline! (depending on car specs).
On my sti this unit held 1.7 bar to redline (which was beyond std redline due to nature of time) and would happily tramp on further if your car can provide enough fuel and air, ideal for those looking for @ 400-450bhp.
This is the same make and model that Andy Tang was running on his modified uk car which produced 354bhp running standard uk internals and just bolt on mods!
http://dyno.scoobynet.co.uk/uk/andrew_tang2.htm
New this turbo costs @ £1800 and it is still spotless and in as new condition offers @ £700 + postage and packing, emails to - ptholt@rocketmail.com

This turbo, along with an APS FMIC, APS air filter, APS dump valve, Scoobysport downpipe, HKS Hiper centre & backbox and a Link ECU mapped by BR Developments, the car (MY99 UK) made 354bhp on Power Engineering's rollers and 340.5bhp on Tuning Japanese's rollers.
The car still had a standard block and fuelling system.
I think the car could have made 360bhp with uprated fuel pump and fuel regulator.

What boost were you running to get your 354bhp?
I have a similar set up but have the pump and fuel pressure regulator, and an STi 4 engine. I would like to know to compare to my TD05fe as I am considering changing it as it is extremely laggy. I used to have a VF 24 and the car was a like a rocket with this turbo on as opposed to the TD05, but the engine didn't last You say you get full boost at 3,500rpm would that have been your 1.8bar? Forgive me if that sounds stupid but I do not know.
Thanks

Is this a direct replacement for a turbo on an my98 wrx import? If so an it's easy to fit? will I need anything else to fit it? then very interested as my last scooby seemed to hit me in the back more than my present one (last car my99)

It was running 1.3 bar, tailing off to 1.25bar after 6,000 rpm (injector duty cycle was hitting 100% at 6000 rpm with the standard MY99 UK injectors)
It was a direct replacement for the standard TD04 turbo and be a direct replacement for a MY97-00 car.
Unsure what modications would need to be done to get it to replace a turbo in a MY92-96 car.
I'm not to familar with the new shape cars, but I assume that the cars running TD04's (MY01-03 UK WRX's) it should be a straight swap.

You shouldn't need anything else to fit it (maybe some copper washers, but that should be it!!) Although you will probably need your car remapped to utilise it fully!
I'm not brilliant with a spanner, so I paid someone to fit it for me. I guess it just depends how competent you are!!!

Hi. I'm extremely interested and have the cash in the bank. I want a bigger turbo for the car (currently a UK my99-RB5).
Booked into TSL for a remap and turbo, but if i can secure this then i perhaps will do without the turbo!
